I´m so sorry to be learning of this only now. We have great memories of our long Ottaea trial. Nobody ever made me laugh so hard in front of a jury that I had to keep pretending to be getting files out of my briefcase so I could hide under counsel table. Nobody on that case will ever forget Larry.

My sincere condolences to Tina and the children. Larry was a jolly good fellow and a brilliant lawyer. I articled and worked with his firm as a young lawyer in the early 2000s and will ever be grateful for the weight of knowledge he impacted on me and those around him. He fought fiercely for immigrants as if they are members of his family and due to his work for them, thousands of them call Canada home today and I believe this will be one of his greatest career achievements. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace Larry!

I am deeply saddened to learn that Cohen has passed away. In 2021 my family and I were facing deportation and he fought for us and we got to stay until we got our landed. I have been trying to call him since July 2023 to share the good news with him only to learn today that he is no longer with you. I pray for peace for his wife and children and may his soul rest in perfect peace. He was a good man and I am sure he is in a better place.

My condolences to your family.
I met Larry in first year law school. He was a good laugh. There are two things that stand out - we both loved the tv show "Dallas" and at the end of third year, he gave me his 4" screen mini tv, which I thought was pretty cool back then. I´m sorry that we lost touch.

I´m crying with sadness to lose a wonderful person. Laurence Cohen helped me through my humanitarian and compassionate ground application, he devoted himself for our stay in Canada and he did it! A wonderful and compassionate human being of all. He is in a better place right now and pray for his family to find peace and understanding that this works is just temporary. One day we will all see him in heaven.

sad. Sad. I found out so late. Laurence was kind and humble. He gave his heart and soul to serve humanity. He helped me through my refugee process in 2000 and through the years treated me as family. whenever I went to him to sign legal documents, he did for free. May his soul rest in peace. May God continue to protect and guide his family through these trying times.

May his soul rest in peace and God bless and protects his family. He was a great kind man and lawyer. He - a lawyer- would pay for my transportation fee to visit him to discuss my immigration case in 2004 which turned out to be a successful immigration case despite the odds. We will miss him.

Have had the privilege over the years of doing many cases with Lawerence . A tremendous Barrister , a true gentleman and someone respected by everyone . More importantly just a wonderful person who treated everyone well. Also had great hockey stories especially about his kids. It was so obvious his family was number one. Will be missed by all of us. My deepest condolences to the Cohen family upon the passing of Larry. He was kind enough to give me some very interesting work (sitting in on a police interview regarding a homicide) when I first started my law practice, and I always appreciated that. I met Larry again over the years at parties and events hosted by our mutual friend Peter D. Larry was always warm and engaging and great company.
