LEANNE PATRICIA THOMPSON April 22, 1965 - May 22, 2013 Leanne, your body, mind and now your spirit will always be filled with the love from your Mom and Dad, Marilynn and Gordon, brothers Timothy and Robert and sister-in-law Karen. You will be sadly missed by your nephews Zachary, Lucas, Jake and niece Kylie, Aunts and Uncles Joan and Stanley Kurisko, Barry and Mary-Jo Skelton, Allana and Decio D'Oliveira and their families. Special thanks to cousin Lisa and all those who visited and comforted Leanne during her care at North York and Sunnybrook Hospitals over the past 6 months. Leanne, you were taken away from us much too early in your life but we know you will finally be at peace within yourself and we are comforted knowing you will be joining your Mother, predeceased in 2005. The family would like to thank the Cancer Ward at NYGH and Palliative Care Unit K1E at Sunnybrook for their compassion, care and friendship given to Leanne. A Service to commemorate Leanne's life will be held at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Visitation Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd., Toronto (east gate entrance, north of St. Clair Ave., 416-485-5572), on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 1 p.m., with a reception, then private family interment to follow. Memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association and Sunnybrook Foundation would be appreciated. For information, please go to www.etouch.ca

I stumbled upon the obituary for Leanne recently, I was so shocked to read of her passing and I write this with a heavy heart.

I hired Leanne many years ago at Hallmark cards at Centerpoint mall. She was a sweet, caring and funny girl. We shared many laughs and long conversations. We lost contact over the years and it saddens me that I was not able to be there for Leanne when she was sick, or to say good-bye.

My thoughts go out to her family.
