Where do I even begin? It's been 7 years since you've left us. Not a single day goes by without me thinking of you. I can't say it's any easier than the first day you left. I just wish I could hug you or talk to you on the phone one more time. I wish I could let you physically meet nick, you'd love him. I wish you could meet sienna and Sophia, you would be obsessed with those funny beauties! Although your not physically here I know your with me every day. My butterfly reminds me and just seeing butterflies reminds me everyday. I love you, I miss you and I hope your resting peacefully up there!

Hey zia u have been heavy on my mind...the world is so diiferent without u in it...you always had a kind heart and spoke what was on your mind without malice...i wish i had more time to talk with u...our chat in your bathroom is always with me..i've learned soo much and some of that knowledge was inspired by things you said...i love you and miss you more than words or expressions could say..you know i speak to you at night and i always ask you to watch over my kids..isometimes feel you doing that especially when your laugh is in my head...hope you are smiling up there cause i know you are watching..xo

Hi Zia it has been hard accepting your gone. Your warmth and laughter gave strength to those you held close to you. Please know your presence is felt always felt in the laughter of your grandchildren and know gorgeous new great grandchildren. The girls are a loving and sweet addition to the family.
They are a constant joy to zio & are lucky to have you watching over them. MISS YOU SO MUCH! I'd like to think Sophia is looking up at you!

hi zia, i lost someone again this weekend, an old friend and now i am thinking of you. I was blessed that she was in my life, and blessed that you were.. she left a very young family and my heart is breaking but as you are now, she is in a better place and her pain has gone away.. it's selfish to be mad, but as we were not ready to lose you, we were not ready to lose her.. zia i miss you and still have your infectious laugh in my head and it's funny cause she too shared that laugh and zest of life as you did..too early you were both taken from us.. We all loved momma scoleri liked she was our own. My brother's and daughters were welcomed into her home countless times, she treated us as if we were her own, with no judgement, just love. I'll miss her smile, her stories and her meatballs!!

I will always remember all of us jammimg in the basement with whoever wanted to pick up an instrument. Instead of telling us to turn it down, she would make the best pizza in town and bring it down to us with a smile.

I recall great memories growing up across the road from the Scolieri home. Chatting with Lidia was always entertaining. Its so sad to know your family must continue on without you...thank god for memories. My condolonces to Salvatore, Lina, Joey & Peter.

To all of you who knew Lidia - you were the lucky ones. She was one of the warmest, friendliest people I have ever met, and I cherish the time we had with her.
My favorite story...
The first time I brought my family (including my kids, who were 3 and 6 at the time) over to Joey's for one of those amazing home-cooked Italian meals, Lidia and Salvatore were so friendly, caring and loving, that my 6-year old asked me, "Are these my grandparents?" I just smiled and said, "Yeah, sort of...". The kids could feel the love that they both projected.
We will certainly miss that warmth, love, and AMAZING cooking.
