LILY DIMITRY "Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live." John 11:25 It is with great sadness that we announce the departure of our beloved, wonderful, kind and lovely mother Lily Dimitry. She was a devoted and a very loved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She had a great sense of humour, simplicity and easiness in every thing she did. Wife of the late Sobhy Iskander (Army General, Egyptian military). She will be fondly remembered by her sons Nashaat Iskander (Therese Vigneault) and Magued Iskander (Rita, nee Marguerite Saad) and her daughter Mervat Faltas (Nader Faltas). Grandmother of Kristina Iskander, Annie Iskander-Khalil and Caroline Iskander, Andrew Faltas and Daniel Faltas. Great-grandmother of baby Sophie Khalil. Aunt of Dr. Raafat Guindy and Mona Guindy, Medhat and Hany Dimitry, Shadia Boutros, Sami and Safwat Mitry, Salwa Mikhail, Samiha and Redah Ghazal and Salwa Sidrak, Ashraf Iskander and Sherine Tadros, Iman and Heba Iskander. Services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, 10 a.m. at the Church of Virgin Mary and St. Athanasius, 1245 Eglinton Avenue West, Mississauga, ON.
