Lloyd EVANS Obituary

EVANS, Lloyd S. Lloyd S. Evans of Thornhill, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Sunnybrook Hospital, Veteran's Wing, at the age of 94 years. Lloyd is survived by his wife Marilyn, his three sons David, Bruce and Stephen and his grandchildren Lauren, Jordan and Chloe. He was predeceased by his brother Howard, niece Barbara and nephew Cameron. A Memorial Service will be held at Jerrett Life Celebration Centre, 8088 Yonge St., Thornhill on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with a Memorial Gathering from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Lloyd was a World War II, Combined Operations Veteran and served his country with Honour. His naval history lives on in the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. Lloyd will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. I got to know Lloyd very well over the past several years. I drove him home from the IBM retiree luncheons and interviewed wrote and article about him for the IBM Retiree Newsletter. He had many fond memories of his IBM life and he talked about his family on our drives from the luncheons. I saw him at Sunnybrook and sat and chatted with him a few times. I will miss him. My condolences to all the family.
