Mr Pickering was an inspiring teacher.

Thanks to him I went on to get a degree in Astronomy and worked through university at the McLaughlin Planetarium.

Thank you Mr. Pickering for all that you gave us.

I had Mr. Pickering for science at DMCI. I was a rotten student, but I recognized an exceptional teacher and still remember that. Sincerely, Elizabeth Verner

My deepest sympathy to the entire family. Lou was my father's best friend, both in and out of DMCI. I have fond memories of he and Doris playing bridge with my mom and dad. Now the last of the two couples has joined the rest for the best bridge hand of all.

Best physics teacher ever!
I was seduced into physics
by his teaching, but gave it
up after four years and a B.Sc.
because none of the
professors could compare.

You will be missed Lou, by all your family and friends. I always enjoyed my visits with you and loved that you taught me how to do the bump-shake when you could no longer shake hands. I will continue to think of you.

He was a much loved and admired teacher and he made a difference to my life in so many ways. His passing is a sad event. May he rest in peace.

I was privileged to be taught by Mr. Pickering in Don Mills C.I. He was a wonderful teacher and an equally wonderful person. He remembered all of us and we even shared funny stories together at the last reunion. He was one of my all-time favourite teachers and I am sad at his passing.
