Lucia SPAGNUOLO Obituary
SPAGNUOLO, Lucia Passed away peacefully on Monday, August 28, 2017 at the age of 96 at Etobicoke General Hospital. Lucia was born on December 1, 1920 in Sant' Ippolito, Cosenza. Predeceased by her husband, Michele Spagnuolo to whom she was married for 55 years and her daughter, Norma Mazzolino (Joseph) and several sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She is survived by her daughter Paula Mirabelli (Frank) and grandchildren, Judith Mirabelli-Migaldi, Andrea Raspa (Vince) and Benjamin Mazzolino; great-grandchildren, Victoria and Matthew (Raspa) and John Luca and Marco (Migaldi). She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Giulia De Rose and Elena Spagnuolo. Special thanks to Dr. Weinstein and the staff of Woodbridge Vista, especially Lucia's nurses, Ranvir and Satinder who with patience and dedication met Lucia's needs. Marianna and Maria, Lucia's caregivers, are acknowledged for their selfless care of Lucia which helped her accept her new life at Woodbridge Vista. Rosanna Circo who visited Lucia daily to say "hello" and gave added comfort. With gratitude and thanks the family acknowledges the caring support given to Lucia by the Etobicoke General Hospital staff especially the doctors and nurses in ER; the doctors and nurses on the 7th and 9th floors. Friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy. 7, Woodbridge, ON, 905-851-9100, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 8500 Islington Ave., Woodbridge, ON, on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge St., Thornhill, ON. In lieu of flowers, Mass Cards are welcome or donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
