MELKERT, Lynda Carolyn (nee Hargreaves) - Class of '61 St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing Retired from Peel Memorial Hospital Following a short battle with cancer, Lynda passed away at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie, Ontario on Thursday, May 3, 2012 in her 73rd year. She was surrounded by her loving family and has joined her beloved husband Gerry (2001). Cherished mother of Michelle and Doug (Keenie), Gerry and Lucia, Cheryl and Randy (Fournier). Dear sister to Joan (Andy), Glenna (Derek), Bill (Diane), Kathy (Jim), Rob (Nancy) and Julie (James). Dear sister-in-law to her extended family in Holland, Joop (Molly), Will, Fred, Charlotte (Peter), Marcel (Elly), Annelies and Bert (Ineke). Dear Nanny to Marie, Stefan, Ryan, Shauna, Cailyn, Jessica, Caroline and Victoria. Great-grandmother to Elaina. We would like to thank Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Hospice Simcoe and Dr. Collins for the exemplary care during this difficult time.
