The memories I have of Madeline are so varied. The one that stays in my mind the most is of her at age 2 and Sarah at 18 months in the tub together at Alex Chesney's cottage.
Madeline was always sweet, thoughtful, soulful, well behaved and beautiful. I never remember her getting into trouble - while Sarah was running crazy all over the place - Madeline would be sitting there patiently with her whalespout on top of her head.
I can see her feeding Zac a cookie in the park. He was crying so hard because he was so too fat to crawl, scoot or walk. Madeline would watch over him and care for him with such tenderness.
Then she blossomed into a stunning young woman, with such grace and poise. She was aptly named.
Nicole and Chris, Zac and Sawyer, German and Coulter Families and to her friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you as are Luke, Sarah and Jessica's.
We are so very sorry for your loss, she left us much too soon.

No words we share could begin to alleviate the extent of your profound heartache,and sense of loss right now. Please know that Maddie's presence made a difference in the lives of many. She was deeply loved and loved in return! We will remember Maddie with such fondness as we recall the antics and boisterous Baptiste Lake laughter ( Sawyer, Zach and Emma along with her) on those lazy hazy days of summer- Carol, Rick and Chris close by to referee or join in the fun. Maddie was a kind, caring, and a gentle spirit. She naturally connected with Connor on a level which was truly heartfelt; hammock swings, tube rides, just being present. This connection was peaceful, authentic and unique for a beautiful young lady and Connor knew it. We feel very lucky to have witnessed special memory making at the lake and may you all hold onto these happy memories. Thank you Maddie for making a difference , I know you will work your magic in a place of peace and shine brightly on your loving family.

Dear Nicole, Chris, Zachary and Sawyer,
Our family is deeply saddened for your loss. Our daughter considered Maddie to be a good friend. She very much enjoyed spending time with Maddie who was very kind and open to her even though she was a year younger. Sophie describes Maddie as being very funny and a joy to be around. I hope it will comfort you to know what a wide net of love and kindness she spread and that there are people you have never met who are heartbroken for your loss as well as their own. Maddie was obviously a beautiful soul who touched so many hearts. Her light is radiating in many schools across this city and she has many friends, who, as one guidance teacher at BH described as "all wanting to do something to honour her memory" . Her light will continue to shine. In the meantime, we want you to know that our thoughts, love and prayers for peace are with you all today and always.

It has been many, many years Chris but Facebook gives us the chance to follow people from afar and I always enjoy seeing what my childhood friends are up to. Your loss saddens me as much as it would had I seen you all these years. My heart goes out to you and your family. I do know there is a really great guy up there doing wonderful things, as my sister lost her 23 year old son just over a year ago. It sounds like Maddie will be doing many wonderful things as well.
