Madeline Ronka Obituary

RONKA, Madeline Madeline Ronka passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12th, 2008 in her 83rd year, in Durham, Ontario. Predeceased by her loving husband, Gunnar, of 50 years and her sisters and brother, Evelyn, Myrtle, Gertrude and Robert. She will be sadly missed by her son Bryan and wife Barbara, son Norman and wife Barbara, grandchildren Cale, Luke, Tanner, Bobby, Devin and Jessie, as well as all nieces and nephews, and many friends. Madeline will be remembered for her many years of volunteer service in helping stroke patients. She was recognized for her outstanding service when awarded the prestigious Lieutenant Governor's Community Volunteer Award. A private family remembrance was held at the Rockwood Terrace Chapel in Durham, Ontario. We would like to thank all for their kind thoughts and condolences. In Madeline's memory, donations may be made to the Aphasia Institute, 73 Scarsdale Road, Toronto.
