Margaret Christensen Obituary

MARGARET OLIVE CHRISTENSEN 1924 - 2011 Margaret went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Heritage House in St. Jacobs at the age of 87. Devoted mother of Marilyn Hew (Ron) of Toronto and Janice Bennett-Cleary (Joe) of Waterloo. Loving Nana to Jonathan, Gloria and Angela of Waterloo. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her former husband, Elwood Christensen of Toronto. Also survived by her sisters, Joyce McLellan (Bernie) of Barrie and Dorothy Darnley of Toronto and her brother, Norman of Elliot Lake. Predeceased by her brother, Fred Bovair (Mary). Margaret was a longtime member of Bethany Baptist Church in Toronto and of First Baptist Church in Waterloo. A memorial service to celebrate Margaret's life and faith will be held at Bethany Baptist Church, 1041 Pape Avenue, Toronto, on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 3 p.m., with Pastor Jim Parker officiating. Cremation has taken place. A reception will immediately follow the service in the church hall. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the churches named above, The Kidney Foundation of Canada, the Alzheimer Society of Canada, or War Amps of Canada.
