Marilyn Lessard Obituary

LESSARD, Marilyn Smith - World War II Veteran, Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service and Canadian Red Cross Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Retired from Bell Canada where she excelled as an Advertising Sales Representative and a good friend to many. Predeceased by her loving husband Alphonse (Phonse) Lessard. Proud and loving mother to Roderick (Rod) and Lana Smith of London, Brent Smith of Whitby and late wife Debra (Debbie) and Carol Anne Yano and James of Toronto. Her brothers Redmond and Jack Sheedy will be lost without their lifelong pal. She will be missed by her dear grandchildren Scott, Brock, Tyler, Rev. Lance Smith and Kimberly Leforge. Marilyn is also survived by six great-grandsons and two great- granddaughters. She is resting at the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge St., Richmond Hill, ON, on Thursday, May 27, 2010 after 12:30 p.m., followed by a chapel service at 1:30 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

I will miss Marilyn. It was fun knowing her at our condominium. I liked her to talk about her time in the Navy and at Cornwallis. Sorry family.
