Marinela Moise Obituary

Marinela (Mari, Marlene) MOISE

Our dearest sister, daughter, aunt and Kevin Bacon's loving partner in life and love, has been tragically killed in a terrible biking accident. Mari (47) lived her life in an extraordinary way – living every moment, loving life, sport, cruising and travel. She was the centre and the glue for all her friends and family in Romania and here in her home in Toronto for the past 20 years. Mari is predeceased by her father Ion Moise and is remembered by her beloved mother Jana and sister Dani (Christoph) and her niece Andu and many friends and family in Romania; her in-laws Moira and Ed Bacon, Joanne (Myra and Jonah) and Tim Bacon; her childhood friend Dana (Brian) and many, many loving friends.

Mari seized each day with joy and purpose and surrounding herself with loving friends. She leaves a bereft community who loved and enjoyed her beautiful soul, her caring and loving ways and the joy she took in life. Able to nurture and maintain friendships across decades, she had the heart of an adventurer. This is a horrible moment in time for all of us, but we treasure the fact and take comfort in the brilliant memories we have of our lives with her.

Many people tried to render assistance at the site of the accident and we hold each one of those people as heroes in our hearts.

Thanks to family and friends from all around the world for their caring words and gestures of support for Kevin and our family. A Celebration of Mari's life on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. EDT, 3 Rathfon Crescent, Richmond Hill, Ontario L4C5B6. A memorial donation in lieu of flowers to the Community Bicycle Network, Bike Pirates or the charity of your choice would be welcome.
