I didn't get to say all I wanted to in Marion's obit at the time I lost my mom. She so loved reading! She loved Charles Dickens. In his famous book, Nicholas Nickleby, she'd written down a notable passage from that which I not only think stands the test of of time, but follows one of Marion's teachings...... In every life, no matter how full or empty one's purse, there is tragedy. There is the one promise life always fulfills. Thus happiness is a gift. And the trick is not to expect it....but to delight in it when it comes and to add to other peoples' store of it.

My dear mom Marion was a wonderful teacher, friend, mother & tower of strength. I remember her telling me life is like a rollercoaster with its many unexpected twists & turns, highs & lows and that is why it's so important to live in the present and enjoy all we can, as none of us can know what is around the next bend.
She told me a person doesn't need to move a mountain to make a difference; the little things count! Her lessons stay with me and the memory of her will always live on in my heart.
You 'made a difference' by being here mom, you are deeply loved and are forever going to be missed. Rest in peace beautiful angel.

I know the family from living in the same apartment building for many years. Marion was always a gracious and charming woman. I chatted with her often and she had a great sense of humor and she radiated the strength that her family saw throughout her life. She will be missed!
