MARY CELLUCCI Obituary
CELLUCCI, MARY April 26, 1963 – November 3, 2022 With profound sadness, we announce the death of our beloved Maria Cellucci. To know Mary was to love her. Seldom do we come across people as authentically loving, generous, selfless, kind and funny as Mary. She lived an exemplary life and was an inspiration to all who knew her. Mary embodied the essence of pure love, commitment and compassion. She lived her life with intention and purpose; and was admired and respected for the beautiful, caring, generous and creative person that she was. When she wasn't working at COSTI, where she was passionate about her role and of COSTI's mission, she was helping family and friends organize events right to the finest detail, leaving her elegant imprint on everything she touched. We were blessed to have had her in our life and will never forget her. Mary fought the battle of her life with enormous strength, grace and dignity, but finally succumbed to her illness on November 3, 2022. We'd like to thank the doctors, staff and nurses at PMH 14B, and the doctors, nurses and staff at Mount Sinai ICU. Special thanks to Dr. Laframboise, Dr. L'heureux and Dr. Oza for the care you've taken of our beautiful Mary. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Anthony; her adoring brother, Gerry (Stella); her niece, Julia (Negus); her nephew, Robert (Marta); and her many dear friends and family. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Concetta and Lucio. Although Mary was not granted the time on this earth to get to know her precious, newborn grandniece (whose birth she awaited with much anticipation), she will be ever present in her life; of that, Mary can rest assured! A message from Mary: "We all share and live in this world for a brief moment in time. What matters is not wealth, status, power, or fame but rather, how we have loved and what small part we have played in making the lives of others better." That's the essence of who Mary was. Mary's visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home, 2960 Dufferin St. (south of Lawrence Ave. W.), on Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 2 - 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St., on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Private cremation to follow. To honor Mary, the family requests donations to Princess Margaret Research Gynecology (UHN Foundation), or to COSTI Vittoria Adhami Scholarship Fund. Rest peacefully, beautiful butterfly. We will love you and remember you, for always!
