Mary LACKUS Obituary

LACKUS, Mary Marica During the early morning hours of April 19, 2018, Mary was embraced by the loving arms of her Lord in her 90th year. He gently guided her to reunite with her husband, Walter Lackus, whom she dearly missed over the past 15 years. Mary lived her entire life with grace and kindness. A truly beautiful person who touched the lives of all who knew her. She was both the foundation and mortar of the family who will deeply miss her presence, including sons John (Linda) and George Kostas, grandchildren Samantha (Ryan), Sabrina and Adam. Great-grandchildren Bianca, Alyssa and Owen were a tremendous source of happiness and joy for Mary. Sisters Kay, Helen, Susan, Nadine and brother Nick will miss the daily conversations, guidance and support Mary so graciously offered. She will also be remembered dearly by her wonderful friends, many who traveled through much of life's journey together with her. Mary was a gentle, loving and giving person who did so much for so many. The values she lived each day will continue to be reflected in the lives of all whom she touched. Family and friends will gather to remember this remarkable woman at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow.
