Mary SECKINGTON Obituary

SECKINGTON, Mary Emily (nee McBRIDE) Passed away peacefully at Campbell House Hospice surrounded by family on March 21, 2018 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of Bill (deceased 1991). Loving mother of Bob (Les), Blair (Kathy) and Gail (Bruce). Proud grandma of Steven, Paul, Keith, Mark, Liane, Suezy, James and Patrick and great-grandma of Owen, Makenna, Jessie and Luka. The family greatly appreciates the excellent and compassionate care she received from Dr. Gandhi and the staff of the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, Campbell House Hospice and Bay Haven Retirement Home. Mary worked many years in the library of C.R. Marchant Sr. Public School in Weston and was for decades an active member of The Church of the Good Shepherd in Mt. Dennis as well as the Canadian Legion. She lived for over 60 years in Weston and summered for most of her life in Balm Beach where she originally met Bill. The whole family will miss her greatly and all of the wonderful family times we had together (including the rousing bridge, euchre, cribbage and quiddler card games often enjoyed by all). Many thanks to her extended family and friends for all of their love, support and good times throughout the years. Mary will be cremated and her ashes placed with Bill as per her wishes. A celebration of her life will be planned later this year. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Collingwood General and Marine Hospital or The Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation would be appreciated. Mary was a wonderful Aunt. We enjoyed playing games at Balm Beach. She was always fun to visit!! May Mary rest in peace with Uncle Bill and join the party of all family members that have passed previously.
We will honour her memory.
Love
Lori McLachlan and Louise and Dave Cowan and families.
