Maureen
Happy memories of my 1st trip to Canada in 79 when I stayed with Noel & you in Gold Crest. A fantastic week spent in Florida along with uncle Hugh & family, those cocktails were good and what fun we all had.
You really were a special person who looked after us so well.
Thanks for those happy memories and bye for now, until we meet again.

I will miss my dear Auntie Maureen with her wonderful sense of humour and her no-nonsense advice... Saturday monrings at the cottage won't be the same without her visit. All my love and thoughts to my Uncle Noel.

Having been a member by marriage of the Hamilton/Hancock/Elliott clan for the past 18 years it was a true pleasure to get to know and love Maureen as much as so many other people. She was such a giving individual - giving of time, of energy, of gifts but most of all of love and support.
Plus I will never forget the look on her face as she almost backed her brand new Navigator over the wishing well of Mom and Dad Hancokc's cottage, yelling out the window "the bloody thing is supposed to beep before I hit anything!".
Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with Noel and the family.

Maureen enjoyed many years boating here at Driftwood Cove with Noel and her family. Her friendly smile and warm personality will be greatly missed by her Driftwood friends and family.

To Noel and family,
We were so sorry to hear of Maureen's passing. She will be missed by everyone who knew her at the marina. I am so glad that we had such a nice visit on the "perch" the last weekend of the season. Daisy, Barb and I along with Maureen enjoyed a mimosa and a nice chat on a sunny Sunday morning. (Ex-Stacey-B2)

She was a wonderful woman, kind, compassionate, loving, generous and much much more. We never considered Maureen a sister-in-law, she was always our Sister. She was always the first person to offer help, guidance and whatever she could do to make the situation better. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our sister, but we have 51 years of wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. God bless you Maureen and may you rest in peace.

Fond memories - of going to the Christmas pantomime in the Grand Opera House - of swinging from the many ropes that were tied to the gas lamp posts - of your joy on passing the entrance examination to Grammar school - of the sorrow in your eyes when I was caned by the Headmaster - of your meeting old James Harrison on the way home from school and you both walking side by side up Harry's Brae, you pushing your bicycle and you both engrossed in conversation - of you being displeased when I laughed at you being so cautious after your appendectomy - of my sadness when you fell and cut your knee while we were carrying the egg crate from the shed.
They seem to have happened only yesterday. Jim
