MAUREEN KILPATRICK Obituary

MAUREEN KILPATRICK (nee McNIFF) Died peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend to many who will miss her deeply. Maureen is predeceased by her husband, Joseph (Joe) and her son, Austin James (Jim) who passed away earlier this year. She will be missed greatly by her surviving children, Sean, Barry and Nora and her grandchildren, Conaire and Honor, both of whom she cherished every day. As well, she will be truly missed by her daughter-in-law, Linda (wife of Jim) as both families shared a residence in High Park for many, many years. Maureen enjoyed close relationships with her own family all down through the years and is survived by her sister and closest friend, Mary Dodgson (Ernie), brothers, Wilfred (Muriel), Michael, David (Gwen) and Kevin (Anne) McNiff and younger sister, Kathleen McGavin. She will be sorely missed by the entire Kilpatrick and McNiff clans as well as her many friends in the neighbourhood, particularly the parishioners of St. Vincent de Paul Church. Maureen lived her life based on her Roman Catholic faith and in her own way, humbly and with modesty, enriched the lives of many in need both within the family and outside of it. Many were graced with her love and compassion over the years. A life well lived and a person who cannot be replaced in our lives; the love Maureen brought into this world lives on and will endure. May God bless her. Family and friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 263 Roncesvalles Ave., Toronto, on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10 a.m. For those who wish, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in her memory.
