Mavis, even though I abandoned my library career to become a senior lawyer, you were a fine instructor and my condolences go to your relatives and friends.

As president of BLS'69, I can speak for the majority of my classmates in saying that you were one of our top profs. So many of us had had previous careers as teachers, writers, etc. so we knew whereof we spoke!

After having you as a professor, my dedication to library and information science grew one thousand fold. From a grateful and privileged student who has studied under your guiding hand.
