MAVIS DOROTHY COLLINGWOOD

COLLINGWOOD, MAVIS DOROTHY (nee FARNELL) Born Erith, Kent, England, on September 4, 1929, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy Cook Farnell. Her family moved to Canada in 1931. Mom and Dad raised our family in Scarborough, Ontario, where they were founding members of St. Peter's Anglican Church. In retirement, they moved to Wyndham Gardens Apartments of Unionville, where mom was incredibly involved with Unionville Home Society. Mavis and Harold travelled to many countries around the world and, over the decades, visited with friends in England each year. Mavis will be sadly missed by all her extended family and dear friends. Beloved wife of the late Harold. Loving mother of Bruce (Evelyn), Julie (Bob) and Brian (Lisa). Proud Grandma of Rob, Sean, Lauryn, Stacy, Kevin, Samantha, and Alexandra. Great-Grandma of Toril, Ethan, Owen, Claire, Jake, Oliver, and Eva. A visitation will take place at Highland Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery, 12492 Woodbine Avenue, Gormley, Ontario (905- 888-5990), on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 12:30 - 1p.m. A Funeral Service will commence at 1 p.m., followed by graveside Committal. Guests must show proof of vaccination to attend.
