Michael Chomik Obituary
Passed away peacefully on May 18, 2015 in his 89th year. Cherished husband of Margaret for 61 years. Beloved father of Michael Wayne from Nashville, Tennessee and Kevin Paul from New Toronto. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Mary and his sister Ann. Michael was the proprietor of New Toronto Variety Store from 1959 - 1988. Family will receive friends at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga, 905-602-1580, on Sunday, May 24th from 12 p.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart House Hospice, Mississauga would be appreciated.

So sorry to hear about Mike's passing. His variety store was such an important landmark for me and my friends. A bag of candy in 1966 was large enough to share with my friends. Mike was always so friendly with me and my friends. He was more like family. The neighborhood of 7th street will always remember Mike with fondness and respect.
