Michael Joseph DODD
Michael passed away at Scarborough Hospital on October 11, 2015 aged 86 years. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his wife of 54 years, Anita (nee Berthiaume), his children Maureen (Bruce) and Michael (Sherry), his grandchildren Stacey, Mackenzie, Keenan and Cassandra, his siblings Eileen, Frank (Mary), Maureen-Sr. Francena, CJSP and Brendan, his sisters-in-law Phyllis and Cathy, brother-in-law Raymond (Pauline), as well as his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Josephine and his siblings Sean, Bernadette and Kevin. Michael was born in Dublin, Ireland, on September 7, 1929. He sailed to Canada aboard the Queen Mary in 1954. He worked for the Toronto Transit Commission for 17 years from 1954 to 1971 and then returned to TTC/Gray Coach from 1986 until his retirement in 1993. He loved laughing, fishing, watching sports and trips to Casino Rama. The family will receive friends at the McDOUGALL & BROWN FUNERAL HOME – SCARBOROUGH CHAPEL, 2900 Kingston Road. Visitation on Saturday, October 17th 7 - 9 p.m. and Sunday, October 18th 11 a.m. - noon; followed by a memorial service in the chapel on Sunday, October 18th at noon, reception to follow.
