GALLAGHER, Michael Our family is sad to announce the passing of Michael Gallagher. He was the beloved husband of Alison (nee Jones) for 44 years; and was the very proud father of Denielle (Bertrand LeGriffon) and John Adam (Crystal). He adored his many grandchildren and always welcomed them to his beautiful home on the lake. He packed a great deal of life into his 68 years. He is also terribly missed by his mother, Dolores; and his sisters, Lauren (Scott) Taylor, Liz (Dave) Newlands, and Lee (Brian) Ingram. Predeceased by his father, John. He grew up in Caledon, Ontario, and attended Mayfield Secondary School. He moved to the east coast to attend Acadia University, earning degrees in both business and computer science. He was a true entrepreneur, owning over a dozen businesses in New Brunswick. Michael's true passion however, was the equestrian world. An exemplary volunteer, he worked tirelessly to promote the sport of riding and trained athletes at all levels. As Chef d'equipe for all the equestrian teams at both the Athens (2004) and Beijing (2008) Olympics, he was lauded for his cool head and trouble-shooting abilities. Visitation to be held September 16th, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home in Sussex, NB. Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Equestrian Federation, the Canadian Liver Foundation, the
Canadian Cancer Society, or a
Charity of Your Choice.
