MICHAEL HEANEY Obituary

HEANEY, MICHAEL JOHN November 29, 1936 - July 19, 2017 In his 81st year Michael passed away surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Kathleen for 56 years. Loving father to the late Catherine, Damien, Geraldine (John), Michael (Jennifer) and Colleen. Devoted Grandpa to Logan, Shannon, Patrick and Liam. Predeceased by his parents James and Ellie, siblings Mary, Gerald, Seamus and Joe. Survived by Desie, Eilish and Dermot. Cherished by many nieces and nephews. Michael will be greatly missed by his family and friends here and abroad. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie for all the care they provided. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, "Brampton Chapel", 52 Main Street South, Brampton, on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 66A Main Street South, Brampton. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Visit the Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com
