Michael was a caring and gentle spiritual father to me.
He could be candidly honest about who he was, yet still come across as encouraging, in the same breath.
I'm inspired by how closely and lovingly he's humbly served and ministered alongside his good wife, Margaret.
He shall be missed, indeed.

Mike was the guiding light and my mentor throughout my career. From the time he hired me in 1978 right out of McGill University in Montreal, to his retirement in 1996 at Canadian Pacific in Toronto. I would not be who I am today were it not for Mike.

Mike was not only a client but a dear friend. He was the first to believe in me when I set up my architectural practice. He mentored me on many levels as we explored and developed creative design solutions together. He made my life richer, deeper and more meaningful, but without ever seeming to do so, it was just his natural way of being the whole person he was. I will miss him.
