Michael Jan Obituary
Mike died at home after a brief illness on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at the age of 65. Loving son of the late Maria (nee Jaklic) and Frank Jan. Husband of Vida, devoted father of Rebecca (Andrew Broadhead) and David Jan and proud new grandfather of Edith Broadhead. Brother of Elizabeth (Herbert) Hartmann and the late Katherine Anderson and step-brother of Vladimir (Sharron) Jan. Mike is also survived by his nieces and nephews in the Anderson, Dolenc and Hartmann families, by his brothers and sisters-in-law in the extended Dolenc family and by his aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada, Slovenia and the US.
Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 739 Brown's Line, Etobicoke, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, with a visitation in the church from 10:00 a.m. up to the time of the Mass. A reception and lunch for family and friends will be held in the church hall following Mass. Interment of cremated remains at Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined but a donation to a charity of your choice in Mike's memory would be appreciated by the family.
