LEACH, MICHAEL PAUL A great man, husband, father, grandad and partner has departed. It is with great sadness that the family of Michael (Mike) Leach announces his passing December 30, 2021, after fighting a heroic battle with cancer. Mike grew up in the west end of Toronto, attended Runnymede Collegiate and worked in various management roles for more than 35 years for Kodak Canada, until his retirement in 2003. Mike was an avid golf player who could be seen on the golf course on any good day here and in Florida in the winters. Mike was predeceased by his wife, Hazel (nee Alford), wife of more then 40 years. He was a great father, coach and mentor to his two sons: Jason and his fiancée, Melinda, grandsons, Jack and Carter, of. Burlington; and son, Darren and his wife, Lyndsey, soon-to-be new parents, of Dallas, Texas. Mike lived with his partner, Donna Lacka (Smith), in Stoney Creek, for the past 8 years. Words cannot explain what a wonderful, honest, good man Mike was. His boys and grandsons were his life. He loved to play golf every opportunity he could - he worked at Crosswinds Golf Course, as a starter. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated. All visitors must wear a face mask and follow COVID protocol. A Celebration of Life and future golf tournament in his name will be planned for in the spring of 2022.
