I am just seeing this and so sorry that this wonderful doctor and person is no longer with us. His wealth of experience and his funny /slightly sarcastic manner alleviated my stress and worries many times as he cared for my kids over the years. My deepest condolences to his family who must miss him dearly.

Dr. Lester was my paediatrician when I was a young lad. There was nothing funny about the way he looked after his patients, treating them with a love, honour & respect that is unheard of in today´s day & age. I hope he´s doing well on the other side and I look forward to seeing him when I get there!

I had the pleasure of being your patient in 1978. My daughter Priscilla 1994 the first birth to birth and my grandson ethan 2013. Thank you Dr Lester for all your love and support generation after generation. We were blessed to be in your care. Thank you and rest in peace.

`Dr. Mickey´ was my pediatrician as a kid in the 90s/early 2000s - really did a fantastic job.
This is such sad news. My thoughts go out to his entire family; may he rest in peace.

Such a caring Doctor!
He treated my sick son with premature stomach development as a baby
"and saved my life" by saying
"Eva" lift your head up for me as he examined my neck..
I want you to go get your thyroid checked out..
Sure enough I had thyroid cancer and it was because Dr.Lester´s care and knowledge that he saved my life
You are deeply missed

Mickey was such an amazing paediatrician and a very authentic soul. We worked together to safeguard children with complex healthcare needs. His passion for helping children and their families was unparalleled. His sense of humour made difficult decisions along with equally difficult discussions a little easier.
We often shared our own life journey´s and shared advice.
I extend my wishes to his family. May you treasure the wonderful memories he created over his lifetime of devotion to children.

Dr Lester was my paediatrician when my family moved to Mississauga in the late 70s. He then took in my three children. Great doctor who spoke the truth.

This makes me so sad just seeing this now
Dr Lester was an amazing person he IS a beautiful soul.
He was my daughters doctor and helped us through many challenges and /or concerns . She is now a Mother and I had longed to share this news with him and even his staff.

Dr. Lester gave me advice on his weekly radio show that saved my child. He later became their doctor. A great great man.

Dr. Lester was my doctor as a child. 30 years later, he became my doctor for my children until they were 15 years old!!

I loved Dr Lester as if he was my own father and he treated me as so...I worked with him for 35 years and enjoyed his teaching and zest for life and also his humor...forever in my heart and always in my thoughts...truly missed every day

No words can express the sadness I’m feeling. Dr. Lester was the paediatrician for my four children and I feel so blessed to have known him. He was brilliant and always reassuring and supportive! So sad to hear of Dr. Lesters passing.
He was a terrific Pediatrician for both our daughters who loved him dearly. His warm welcoming smile was always waiting for them whenever we needed him.
He will be remembered for his expertise and caring manner.

Doctor Mickey Lester, The Most wonderful Pediatrician, He was certainly very much an Expert in his Field. He also had Charisma and His mannerism. He was a wonderful Doctor, He saved My daughters life( Long story) From the time I gave Birth to her in 1987 he was so wonderful, he also looked after my stepson's who were 20 years older than my daughter. That is how long he was in our family. His Advice over the years were so comforting as he certainly was an Expert in his field. He was a Lovely Person and Doctor. Sadly missed. We adored Mickey. His humour, kindness and warmth were inspiring. Thankfully we were able to spend some quality time with him in Palm Desert, a place he loved.
Dr Mickey helped so many people, was a very special person who will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Mickeys passing. He was a wonderful paediatrician that I relied on as my go-to consultant. Knowledge , humour, warmth and a love of his profession were his guiding lights.
I kept a copy of his book in my office and frequently went through it with parents. He will be missed

I'm so sorry for your loss. I just want to tell you that Dr. Lester was my son's paediatrician. He was at the hospital to greet us on May 7, 1971, I think Scott was one of Dr. Lester's first patients. He was a marvellous doctor. I trusted him with both my children until they were in their teens. His manner was so down to earth, we all felt comfortable with him right away. He was funny and easy to understand. He will be missed. Please accept my sincere condolences. He was one of a kind.

Mickey was a cherished figure in my life. He was a devoted friend to my mother, a kind and thoughtful doctor who helped me among countless other young people, and a warm and funny presence. I am deeply grateful for his life, and offer my heartfelt condolences to his wonderful family.
