RICCI, MICHAEL What a wonderful and vibrant life I have lived. With my family by my side, I passed away peacefully on November 26, 2021, at the age of 67. How fortunate I have felt to be able to say my final days were spent travelling with my family, as we did so often together. I will dearly miss my closest friends and family whom I spent so much of my cherished time beside. How fortunate I have been to call my wife Shawn, my life partner and best friend of 21 beautiful years. The life we lived together was truly and wonderfully filled with adventure and love. I am survived by my children, Tim (Wanessa), Shaun (Lissa), Mike (Tera), Jay (Jennifer), Chase (Andrea), and Kendal (Ryan). May all of you never lose your keen sense of humour. I love you. To my grandchildren, Ella, Miles, Preston, Isley, Carter, Grayson, Luke, Connor, Cole, and Hudson, I am proud of you, and I love you. To my furry companion, Oakley. Thank you. We only spent a little over one year together, but you never left my side. Although sometimes it may have seemed like I was pretending, you really were a man's best friend, Oakley. I will miss you. To my brothers, Paul Joseph (Tina), Larry Michael (Shar), and Joseph "Joe" (Wendi), we shared a bond like no other. I will forever cherish the countless memories we were so lucky to experience together, as brothers. I am survived by my nieces and nephews Julian (Rebecca), Erika (Vinny), Larissa, Lianna (Adam), Kristopher (Lyndsey), Cale (Morgan), and Blake (Samantha), I will miss you all so much. I was born Michael Phillip Ricci to Paul and Eva Ricci on May 30, 1954, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Having spent my childhood and adolescents in Toronto, after meeting my partner Shawn, we moved and spent many years in Caledon before settling down in our dream home in Wasaga Beach. I will miss the beach, the sunshine and sunsets, and the countless boat rides. To my many, many friends I've met along my way, I have eternal gratitude for each of you, for enhancing my life and making it that much richer. My Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd., 905-850-3332) on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. We continue to enforce contact tracing, and kindly ask that you register your name on our RSVP link online to minimize foot traffic when signing in upon your arrival to the funeral home. If contact tracing is not done prior to arrival, our qualified staff will record your name, address, and telephone at our door to avoid any congregating. My Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd., 905-850-3332).
