MICHAEL JOSEPH SCOTT Born in Graigue, Co. Laois, Ireland, September 22, 1937 and passed away peacefully in his 77th year at Runnymede Healthcare Centre in the presence of his family on Friday, October 17, 2014. Last surviving member of his immediate family, including sisters Kathleen Moyles, Marion Zunda, Delia Scott and Anne Phelan and brothers Isaac, Sonny and James. Devoted husband to Theresa Josephine for 52 years and loving father of Tom (Sylvie), Mary (Kevin), Michael (Lindsay), Anne (Sean) and Jim (Renee). Cherished grandfather to Martin, Ciara, Maureen, Ciaron, Sinead, Colleen, Emily, Michael, Lauren, Julia and Brian. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews in Ireland and Canada. Mike will be remembered for his years of dedication, hard work and contributions to the Irish community in Toronto. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas St. W. (one block east of Runnymede), 416-767-1176. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 20th at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Rd., at 10:30 a.m., with burial to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Runnymede Healthcare Centre for their support and care in his final days.
