Michael was not only a friend but a big brother to me. He taught me many life lessons and showed me how to be a father. Everyday I hear Mikes lessons as he still guides me through my personal challenges.
I miss you brother. But I take solice knowing I will see you again.

My Son Colin adored Mr Steffens, he felt inspired by him. Colin's entire affect changed when he got Mr Steffens as a teacher. He is deeply deeply saddened by this loss and will miss Mr Steffens very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family at this time.

My prayers and deepest sympathy goes to all who had the privilege of knowing this giant of a man. He was a true teacher, a friend, mentor and support to so many. Michael, you will be sorely missed. To Aaron, Cassandra and Tara, be comforted knowing that your dad helped shape the minds of tomorrow and also inspired many teachers to be excellent. Wishing you all God's peace during this time of trial.

He was the best teacher I have ever seen.I cant believe that he is gone.I cant forget him how he helped and supported me on my first day as supply teacher .God Blesses the Steffens family for his unsudden death.
