MILORAD DRASKOVIC Obituary
DRASKOVIC, MILORAD "MIKE" Milorad (Mike) Draskovic (born November 13, 1939) passed away peacefully, on April 23, 2023, at his home in Panama, surrounded by family. Milorad was a loving husband to his wife of 60 years, Svetlana (Tanja), devoted father to his daughters, Anna and Debbie, supportive father-in-law to Charles and David, inspirational uncle to Janko and Gagi, protective Deda to his grandchildren, Colette, Kina, Michael, Philip, Mitchel and Adam, and proud great-grandfather to Savannah, Malcolm, Emma, Hugo, Hannah, Sophie, Danielle and Charlie. Milorad immigrated with his family to Canada in 1973 and quickly began his career as a Mining Engineer. He travelled around Canada and the world for work, making lifelong friendships wherever he went. It was in Montreal that he raised his family and fueled his passion of becoming a real-estate mogul. He had boundless energy, passion and hard-work ethics. He made countless sacrifices but never complained, while making every feat look easy. He expanded to Florida and eventually to Panama. Embracing Panama as his home, it reminded him of his roots. Milorad was a proud Montenegrin who helped countless family and friends without pause. He was a loyal friend who was full of joy and laughter, never missing a Sunday to lawn bowl or a family gathering to count his blessings. He was a great storyteller while carrying a curiosity to learn from others. Among all of his accomplishments, Milorad was most proud of his grandchildren, always carrying their photographs and marvelling in their successes. He had an infectious smile and a generous heart, leaving all those who knew him with fond memories. Milorad will be deeply missed by family and friends.
