MURRAY STEWART MEERES

MEERES, MURRAY STEWART March 22, 1931 September 11, 2024 Murray passed peacefully, after a short illness on September 11, 2024, at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario, in his 93rd year. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Dennison (Rick) and Allison Chamberlain; his grandchildren, Benjamin (Michelle), Neil (Christa), Dylan (Tegan), and Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Indigo and Andy. He is also survived by his brother, Lyle; niece, Wendy; nephew, Michael (Marie); and Cantelon nieces, Karen, Lisa, Cindy, and Roberta. Murray was predeceased by his wife, Doreen June Cantelon; and his second wife, Faye Hutz. Murray lived in Toronto for many years before moving to Lindsay, Adelaide Place Retirement Home, where he enjoyed being closer to Sandra's family. Murray was a very enthusiastic sports fan, either watching or playing golf, curling and tennis. He loved the summer Olympics of 2024. A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
