I have only just read about Myles' passing away and am so very sad! Knowing Myles, his music and words/lyrics made an important change to my life 30 (!) years ago. Without him, I would most probably not be who and where I am today. I will be forever grateful to him for spiritual guidance, kind words, understanding - and fond memories of 'feasting on donuts' together with Wendy and the boys from REFUGEE.

My sincere condolences to Myles' family and friends. I'm a true fan of his music, and I remember the song Always 21 (from the album Northern Union, 1990) as one of his best production ever. I'm playing it out loud now in my room, in his remebrance. R.I.P.

Probably I do not fit in here because I did not know Myles personally.... But I can say from my heart that his music and especially his words have been so important for me since the early days of Michael Fury/Refugee - and have remained so until this day. Only a month ago I discovered (with a 6 years delay) the Studio outtakes of the 2011 Hunter/Greer sessions on YouTube and I was so enthusiastic about these songs. So I started googling with the big hope to find out if there is more to come... and landed on this obituary, leaving me overwhelmed with sad emotion. Never done this before, but I felt like leaving my note here.... Myles - your voice will be - literally - missed!!! Strength and courage to his family from an unknown "Exile" in Germany, Andreas Petropoulos

To Myles Hunter's family and friends, heartfelt condolences to you. Myles gift of Music and his passion for justice and meaning in life will live on. His music has been a source of greatness .... His work ministering is such a lasting legacy.
I read a message years ago when I first met Myles at the studio
where he rehearsed with his bandmates ......
"Love is the instrument with which one may spread the eternal force that can never be extinguished, which overcomes death and spreads light, which embodies the poise of wisdom, peace and all that exceeds understanding"

THANK YOU for your Music, Myles. I still listen to "Voice Of Life" even after all these years. You were gracious enough to sign a napkin when I met you and Avalon, I thought you and your band were great. I still have my Laurentian High School yearbooks and there are photos of when you played there. I wish you an adventurous journey, you are an Musical kindred spirit.

You had so much more to give and not enough life left to give it. You helped me through so much, including burying my parents and husband, Christening my grandchildren and support through life's journey. You will also be remembered fondly in my heart.
