Dear Mom & Nonna,

This is the hardest letter to write and this is why is has taken so long. Life has changed in so many ways since you left us. The most difficult times are, and will continue to be, the holidays when we expect to see you walk through our door with a smile on your face and a gift in your hands for the girls or something homemade that you lovingly cooked for us. We miss having you apart of our everyday; your phone calls, your voice, your smile, your laugh, your kindness, your love. The girls remind us that they miss the endless back massages that put them to sleep when their Nonna happily tucked them into bed at night. Your strength and love for life through all that you endured will always be an inspiration to us.

We know that for years to come there will be a sadness and sometimes a silent tear, but we will remember to always smile when we think back on all the precious memories that you have left with us; our wonderful Mother, Mother-In-Law and Nonna.

You will forever be in our hearts.
With all our love.

Dearest Nancy,

We miss you so much and think of you everyday. We were blessed to have known you for sixteen years and to have shared so many happy occasions and wonderful memories. We will always remember how we danced that New Year's Eve with you and Leonard, Erica and Chris and our two beautiful granddaughters, Tiffany and Lesley. We pray that you are now dancing with the angels, watching over all of us.

You will forever be in our hearts, until we meet again.

Dear Nancy,
Well it's been awhile since you passed and let me tell you that you have been missed. I have thought about you all the time and still I cannot believe that you are gone. You have been my best friend for many years and we have so many memories of various events, family get togethers, anniversary outings, picnics, confirmations, weddings, graduations etc.

I have never met another person in my life that is as loving, caring and such a lovely woman as you. You have always been there for me and I really miss your smile, laughter and all the chats that we had. I think of you all the time and wish you were still here with us.

Even though you left us, I remember the way the sun came out and was so bright outside when they placed you with Len. It was as if you were there with Len where you belong.

I will always love you and miss you. So long for now....until we meet again. Love you!!!!!!

Dear Nancy, I will miss you. Not being able to phone and ask advise leaves me feeling the loss of you and Leonard. There are no words for me to say how much you in my family's life you will be missed. You were a friend, advisor and a symbol of how a family works. Your advise to me over the years were the same as having another sister. You were a sister to me. I consider myself to have been very luck to have known you. Your gifts were many. There was nothing you did not accomplish for what you wanted. Your smile and loving ways with my children will always be remembered. Thank you for everything you did in our lives. We will miss you,
Love Lily

Mom
Its been difficult to find the right words to express the emptiness left in our lives, and there are truly no words that explain how much you are missed. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of you.

We miss your smile, your voice and most of all your unconditional love for your family. I still think one day you will come walking through the door for a visit with your grandkids and a family dinner. The happiness and joy you brought to our lives are memories we will cherish forever.

I am forever grateful for the guidance, love and support, you brought to me and my family. Your caring and compassion made us all feel welcome and loved. You were truly an inspiration and touched the lives of so many people.

Mom, thank you for being the best mother and grandmother a son could ask for. You taught me to appreciate family and the importance of strong family values. For all you gave and did for us I am forever grateful. I will hold my memories of you forever close to my heart.

Love You Always

I have struggled for months to make this entry. Thinking about all the things I could say about you & what you meant to me. It's been so hard loosing you.

I feel such a void and a hollowness in my heart.I miss your words of wisdom, your daily phone calls, your radiant smile and warm voice. When I think of all the memories I have of you it's always been about family. I have never met someone who was so committed to her family. The smiles that came to your face when you were around your grandkids told it all. Unconditional love is what you had for your family. I so admired this about you.

A wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, daughter, Nonna, Nonni, sister, sister-in-law and a friend. You are so many things to so many people.

So mom Thank You for everything. All of your words of wisdom, your kindness & generosity, your guidance and support. For your unconditional love.

I love you mom.
Until we meet again.

Dear Nancy, we are still in disbelief that you are no longer with us in the physical world. There is not a day that goes by that we do not think of you or even Lenny. Just knowing that you are now at peace and back with the love of your life (Len), in Heaven, makes it a little bit easier to accept. We are so blessed and grateful for having you in our lives for over 25 somewhat years, there are so many great memories that we will cherish forever! Love you forever and always.... xoxox

Dear Auntie Nancy,

I am so truly saddened by your passing. You are so special to me and I miss you every day. I wish that you were here with us. You were such an amazing aunt and our relationship meant so much to me. We had a lot of similar qualities, which made us especially close. It breaks my heart that our time together was cut short, but the memories will forever be in my heart. I will cherish all of the time we spent together and always hold you close to my heart.

I love you so much. You will never be forgotten.

Love,

Natalie xoxo

Nancy lived her life with a heart full of love and pride for her family.

She appeared to be in need or want of not much else.

An ever present radiant smile of youthfulness, she appeared ageless , which made her untimely passing even more of a shock.

With Lenny, for so any wonderful years, they lived their lives well together, and with the usual trials and tribulations, they had achieved such a well deserved place of peace and happiness in their retirement years.

One can only imagine, the unbearable pain and suffering each of them suffered over each other's sickness, more than their own. They bared it with such admirable strength and commitment and to whatever extent possible, not for sympathy or public display.

But their story is not one of pain and suffering, however present it may have been in the end.

Their story is a one of love and joy for each other, and for family and friends.

An always present and genuine smile and hug to greet you, whether you arrived unannounced or otherwise. They embraced you with the kindness and fellowship, which only comes from living a life mindful and true to the simple and meaningful pursuits of joy and happiness. All that mattered was the peace of mind for the well being of their family and friends.

It was only with the security and knowledge of a house in order, would they occasionally indulge in some of the more trivial pursuits of life's pleasures. Maybe a trinket of jewellery or the latest technical gadget. So well deserved and yet never a priority in their lives.

In my mind, one of their greatest legacies, is how well they enjoyed each other's company, and how anyone in their company would be embraced by that good feeling of comfort and joy.

Len and Nancy, inspired us all with their unwavering commitment to the true value and meaning of life and love.

And because of that, their spirit and memory, shall remain well and strong all the days of our lives.

They departed far too soon for all of us.

Was it meant to leave us with yet one more reminder? In addition to the many other lessons of life they have taught us by example over the years, such as never to take love for granted and cherish every waking moment, while we can; to appreciate to the fullest, all that is good and kind in the value and meaning of life.

And while we will carry on and do our best, its just so much harder without them.

And yes, we never forget, because of them in particular, it is how we make each other feel, which lives in the hearts and minds of those we love, forever.

Thank you Lenny for being my best friend and as good a brother as anyone ever had.

Thank you Nancy for embracing our family with love and compassion , and making it even better because of you.

We were privileged to have a front row seat to one of the most beautiful love stories we have ever witnessed, which produced two wonderful sons and four amazing grandchildren, and the love and devotion of two endearing daughter in laws. We are all proud.

Nancy Cirillo, a kind, fun person and diligent follower of Christ. A loving mother who rejoiced in her children's accomplishments and lighted up with joy when seeing or talking about her grandchildren. She was a wonderful caring neighbour and loyal friend. Her smile was infectious. Len and Nancy will not be forgotten by those of us who were fortunate to have been the recipient of their warm friendship. Larry and Nancy Koehle (Brampton, ON)

Dear Nancy,

I was so saddened to hear of your passing. You were such a special friend. So genuine, caring and kindhearted. You and I were quite different. I am sure many were surprised by our friendship. I was the loud one, the silly one .. you were so quiet, reserved and shy, but we had one thing in common and that was the love for our family. We hadn't seen each other in years, but when we finally got together two summers ago, it was like we had never been apart. But, life had changed. The loss of Len was devastating. Your battle with cancer was heartbreaking. We laughed, we cried, we hugged. I will miss our conversations, our special visits and our long time friendship, but I take comfort in knowing you are reunited with the love of your life, your Len. Until we meet again xo Lorna

Nancy
I am still finding it hard to believe that you are gone and as I write this I can hardly see for the tears that are pooling in my eyes. Though I will not see your smile or hear your voice, 48 years of wonderful memories cannot be erased. I still remember it like yesterday when you walked through our front door and met you. You may have become my sister in law four years later, but for me you became the sister I never had. From that day forward we shared many years of laughter, tears and wonderful journeys together. You taught me a lot about love and determination -- the love of family and friends and the determination to fight for answers and never give up. You were a great and loving daughter as well as sister to your parents and brothers. You were an amazing and wonderful wife to Len, and mother to Christopher and Carlo, two great sons to be proud of, as well as a loving and doting grandmother to your grandchildren who meant the world to you. You were a good friend to all who met you and will be missed by all. Saying good bye is very hard to do, so I won't. I, as well as all my family who loved you so much, will miss you greatly but we will always remember our times together through the wonderful memories we created. Now,I hope that you are smiling with Len beside you somewhere beautiful sipping a glass of wine while overlooking a vineyard and at peace while watching over all of us here. Love Linda

Our Dearest Nancy/Auntie Nancy,

There are no words to express our sadness. We miss you already! We are struggling to find answers. How could God take away someone so special from all of us? You were such an important person in our lives. The courage and strength throughout your battle with cancer was remarkable. How you found your strength to fight and keep fighting was inspirational. You never stopped fighting because you never wanted to disappoint your family. Your smile brought light to the room and your kindness made everyone feel important and most of all loved. You were the one person who kept the family grounded and on point. We learned so much from you, but the one thing we all learned was to be kind and honest. You were all that and more. Nancy you were a wonderful sister, sister-in-law, aunt, godmother and best friend. You always showed us your love, compassion and your gentle embraces of affection. Thank you for all of your love and support and just know we will treasure all the memories we shared together. Be happy now, free of pain and spread your wings so you can be together with Leonard. Watch over all of us, never forgetting how much we loved and adored you. Please know that we will be here for Chris and Carlo and their families. We will try to guide them in the best way that we can. We love them and hope that they will come to us when they need guidance or strength. We will always love you and keep the memories of you close to our hearts.

Love you so much-Anthony, Kathy, Stephen and Natalie

Chris, Carlo and families, Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss, your mom was an amazing lady. Nancy meant a lot to me and my family. I was blessed to have time with Nancy before her passing, it gave us a chance to tell each other what our friendship meant to us, we laughed we cried and sometimes no words were necessary, just a squeeze of our hands said it all. This is a short quote by Helen Keller "What we have once enjoyed,we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us." Nicky
