Nick Michelis Obituary
MICHELIS, Nick —
Passed away peacefully on June 29, 2015 at the age of 84. Nick was born on June 13, 1931 in Vevi, Greece. Son of Eleni and Stamati Michelis. Nick immigrated to Canada in 1955 and married his longtime sweetheart Menne Michelis. They were married for 59 years. He became a restaurateur and local businessman in Toronto, Ontario. He is predeceased by his only son Danny Michelis and was a loving grandfather to Nicholas, Elaina and Matthew. Nick is survived by his siblings Noula, Lazaros and Litsa and their families in Athens, Greece. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Niki (Traianos), Koula (Angelo), Steve (Dolores), George (Voula) and nieces and nephews. His family is very grateful to all of his caregivers and the staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital that have cared for him over the last few months. Nick will be missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at The Highland Funeral Home - Markham Chapel, 10 Cachet Woods Court, Markham, on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 2-9 p.m.
Funeral Church services will be held at Saint Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church (stpangoc.org), 11359 Warden Ave., Markham, on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10 a.m.

We will always be extremely grateful and proud of you, for your strength, courage and the great legacy you have left behind you, as a successful local businessman in Toronto, Ontario, belonging in the fist generation of Greek immigrants in Canada. You will always have a special place in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. We will always love you and remember you!
