Nikola Velimirovic Obituary
NIKOLA VELIMIROVIC It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Nikola Velimirovic at Trillium Hospital, Friday, September 16, 2011, 1:00 a.m. Born May 10, 1935 in Koranski Breg, Kordun (former Yugoslavia) to parents Dusan and Marija Velimirovic (both deceased), brother to Zora, Milka, Ilija and Jovan (all deceased). Beloved husband of Gradimirka, cherished father of Olga Miller, George Velimirovic and daughter-in-law Daphne Velimirovic. Loving grandfather (Dedo) to Mitchell, Julia, Claudia and Nicholas. Nikola will be missed by all family members, Kumovi, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Nikola immigrated to Canada in 1964 with a passion to succeed and provide for his family. Nick's kindness, generosity, intelligence and great sense of humour contributed to making him truly one of the really good guys. Nick was a master tradesman that built a successful company during his time. His other passions were real estate and spending time with his family. Nikola was more than a role model to his children and grandchildren, he was a strong, kind and gentle person who loved his family and laughed easily. There are no words to express how much he will be missed and forever remembered. Thank to all of our relatives, family, friends, the Doctors and staff at Trillium Hospital for all their help and support during this difficult and sad time. Friends and family will be received at the Scott Funeral Home "Mississauga Chapel" (420 Dundas Street East, one block west of Cawthra, 905-272-4040) on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in All Serbian Saints Serbian Orthodox Church (1375 Blundell Road, Mississauga) with Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Toronto.
