Norma ARMSTRONG Obituary

ARMSTRONG, Norma Eleanor Norma Eleanor Armstrong, 93, died July 7, 2018 at Humber River Hospital. She was born October 21, 1924 and spent her early years in Scarborough and her married life in Etobicoke. Norma was a graduate of Humberside Collegiate and Queensway's Quo Vadis R.N. program. She worked as a registered nurse for 10 years. She was a lifelong NHL fan, an active lawn bowler and social bridge player for many years. She donated her knitting to 'Out of the Cold' for the less fortunate. She was the beloved wife of the late H. Paul Armstrong (2010); mother to Jim (Janet), Cathy and Kelly; grandmother to Jennifer, Clark, Beth, Keiran and Claire; and great-grandmother to Jayden. Teresa Zomparelli cared for our mother as her own for 11 years, and has the enduring gratitude of our whole family. Thank you also to the many caregivers who supported mom in her final years. As per our mother's wishes, a cremation and private burial will follow.

I worked for Norma and Paul for sometime. I had the pleasure of preparing their dinners for them.I loved spending time with them a wonderful couple. Norma was just a sweetheart and to this day I hold the memories close to me. Sending you all my heartfelt sympathy.
