Norma HENDERSON Obituary

HENDERSON, Norma Elizabeth (nee TYNDALL) April 12, 1926 - September 18, 2017 Peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2017. Wife of the late William (Bill) Douglas Haig Henderson (January 31, 1988), daughter of the late Norman R. and Irene Lucy (nee Taylor) Tyndall. Mother of Robert (Louise), Douglas (Marjolaine), Thomas (Deborah) and Kenneth (Susan) and grandmother of Nicole (Aaron), Joshua (Danielle), Jennifer (Sandy), Daniel, and Andrea and great-grandmother of Joseph, Cecilia and Lyla. Sister of Marion (the late Paul Gellatly) and Aunt to Bruce (Theresa) and Janis (Bruce) and their families. Norma grew up at "the Beach" ("once a Beacher always a Beacher"), attended Williamson Road Public School and, after graduating from Malvern Collegiate Institute, became a legal secretary (for 45 years with Roebuck & Roebuck and 20 years assisting their families). Enthusiastic supporter and executive member of the Kew Beach Bible Class (KBBC), the Norway Public School Home and School Association, the St. John the Baptist Norway Anglican Church 35th and 37th Cubs and Scouts Ladies' Auxiliary and the Clan Donald Society of Canada, Toronto Branch. Respecting Norma's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Family interment of cremated remains at St. John's Norway Cemetery at a later date.
