Paisley GOLDSBIE Obituary

GOLDSBIE, Paisley (Peggy) - Peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in her 96th year at Baycrest Hospital. Dearly loved wife of the late Charlie Goldsbie. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Todd Goldsbie and Susie Waldman, and Cyril Goldsbie. Adoring grandmother of Jonathan, Jake, and Michael. Dear sister of the late Helen Steene, and Richard Herman. Peggy was born in Toronto in 1921, growing up on Grace Street and in New Toronto. Always with a song on her lips and in her heart, Peggy was a lovely, compassionate lady who loved music, family, friends, and her Temple Sinai community. We are forever grateful to Emily Callum for her unconditional love and care through Peggy's later years and to the kind-hearted caregivers who provided support and affection at home and at Baycrest. At Temple Sinai Congregation, 210 Wilson Avenue for service on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Dawes Road Cemetery. Shiva at 459 Logan Avenue. Memorial donations may be made to The Peggy Goldsbie Memorial Fund at Temple Sinai 416-487-4161.

dear Todd [Susie] and Cyril, Fond memories of your wonderful and warm mother are my thoughts at the moment. Your parents were always parents to me as well, during our Temple years together. Fondly yours,

To Peggy's family,
She once told me secretly that her real name was Paisley.
She was a charming petite lady who lived in our Condo and contributed the Social Column in our Condo newsletter.
She and her great friend Rose Roth were featured in one of last Newsletter's as the Dynamic Duo.

We miss her presence here.

Please accept my sincere sympathy to all of her family and friends who knew her.
