PASQUALE SARRA Obituary
PASQUALE SARRA (1922 - 2012) Pasquale fought with unwavering willpower and sheer determination to continue to live his ninetieth year. He finally lost the battle on January 21, 2012. Beloved husband to Elena for 66 years, loving father to his daughters Gina (Jim) and Rina and adoring grandfather to Alexandra, Paul, Marc and Lawrence who brought him great joy. Pasquale was a loving older brother to Attilio (Emilia), Matilde (Rocco), and Giuseppina (Domenico, predeceased). Pasquale will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom were very dear to him and whom he held in high esteem. Pasquale was a man of great integrity and gifted with insight and the desire to make every moment in life count. He has taught us all the importance of tenacity, determination and perseverance and has lived by these standards throughout his life. Pasquale has gifted this legacy to us all, both in life and now that he is gone. It is the family's hope that in the sadness of this occasion, we take a moment to celebrate Pasquale's life and the very special man that he was. Visitation will be held at the Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave.) on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in All Saints Roman Catholic Church (1415 Royal York Rd., north of Eglinton Ave. W.) at a time to be confirmed. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave.) In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
