Hi Patty, it is almost hitting 4 years without you. Tomorrow is the four year mark and there isn't a day going by where I am not sharing stories of you to my boyfriend which you would've absolutely loved him. I am still honouring your legacy every single day and singing any chance I get like you did. I miss you so so so much and I love you so so so much. I know you are here by my side. I just wanted to talk to you and tell you that I miss you and I hope you are proud of me. I just wish I could hear your voice just one more time.

I haven't seen Patty since 1994, our final year at MPSJ, but I remember her as a sweet and charming person who would engage with everyone around her. She will be missed by many. May the family hold strong during this sad time.

My deepest condolences to the O’Brien family. I grew up in the area, went to St Gregory’s (I was in Conor’s grade), and then MPSJ. Throughout the years in our post-school days, I would see Patty occasionally in social settings. While it’s been an incredibly long time, I only remember Patty as a kind, magnetic, fun-loving, strong woman —- and see that she continued to live as such through her life. May these attributes of her carry on in the memories of her friends and family. Rest In Peace.

Many many years had gone by when I saw you last at Matthew and Elizabeth’s annual Christmas party, yet nothing seemed to have changed since our days at St Greg’s. A big smile, happy soul and a positive approach. We sat outside and smoked a cigar and caught up on decades gone by as if time was on our side. Deepest condolences.

I am sending my deepest sympathies to the entire O'Brien family, her husband Derick, her two beautiful boys William and Bennet, and all of her dearest friends. Words cannot truly express how sorry I am for your sudden loss.
I knew Patty from MPSJ, as she was a grade above me. Her close friend group and mine would cross paths plenty over the years, having many, many, laughs and good times. We would look up to them as they paved their way through high school, university, and life beyond. What a life lived!
Patty was such a good listener - and had a gift for communicating with people on all levels. We connected in recent years as we were on similar journeys to motherhood. She was a huge inspiration and confidant which helped so much in tough times. I will never forget her honesty and support for me even if we did not speak often. I am forever grateful for that!
Cheers to you, Patty, for living your life honestly, happily, and to never giving up on your motherhood journey. So many hearts are broken, but I believe that you were the happiest you could have ever been. May this belief bring a ray of light to the darkness that has been left behind.

I remember the first time we met in the school yard of St Gregory. My visiting class had “home education”. You were so out going and confident. Sarah was with you. You were cracking jokes and laughing. Then we had grade 9 music together, first period, Power, south portable. You were always the same cracking jokes and laughing. You have one of the best personalities I have ever known. Although we lost touch after around 25 years of age, I can tell from the social media response and comments, clearly you had not changed. Our family lived in the house across the street from the O’Briens and I had the privilege of babysitting Patty and her siblings. She often played with my sister and I remember her as an extremely cute, energetic, and friendly little girl. I’m so very sad to hear of her passing. My deepest condolences to the whole family. Patty was a grade younger than I when we attended MPSJ. I remember her smiling, lovely Irish face and that pleasant, fun personality. What beautiful words written that encompasses her love of life, family and friends. My deepest condolences to Derick and the boys, the entire O’Brien Family and all her very dear and closes friends she had.
Patty was a force to reckon with. She was a light and joy to be around. We have many wonderful memories together... and although I didn’t see her as often as I would have liked...since moving out of the city, we were still there for each other’s biggest moments... wedding showers, baby showers, weddings etc.
I loved Patty with all my heart and appreciated the beautiful soul and fire she was. She will be deeply missed... and our fun and crazy times together will never be forgotten. One that will stick out in my mind forever - our Miami Trip 2002 when Brazil won the World Cup.
Pats I love you and will miss you.
