PATRICK McGEE Obituary

McGEE, PATRICK September 9, 1932 - May 16, 2022 Patrick Terrance McGee died peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. He is truly missed by his devoted wife of over 50 years, Dee (Dianne Brophy). He cherished his two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly Rose (Philip Sayce) and Ryanne Earl (Jeffrey Scott), celebrated his grandson Jaxon, and loved his fur-companion Gemma. His love of art, music, travel, and cuisine - together with great friends and a perfect Rob Roy - brought joy into all of our lives. He was highly regarded and well respected in architectural sales and commercial real estate and was very proud of being a U.S. Marine, Virgo, and Catholic. Italy, Mexico, tennis, and golf will always have a special place in his heart. In Patrick's honor, we invite you all to "get on the dance floor" and raise a toast for one another and to the "The Magnificent McGee." www.rossfuneralchapel.com

Dee and family,

Terribly sorry for your loss. I was unaware of his passing until now as I recently ran into CSR who shared the sad news with me so sorry this is a late note of condolence.

Patrick T was a mentor and friend who helped all the young guys at JJB grow and prosper. I am forever grateful for his wisdom and kindness.

I will always remember:
The "bottom-liners" at the Cricket Club
A half a cup of black ("because it works")
"Keeping the man away from the door"
White pocketless monogrammed shirts
Polished fingernails
Colourful shorts and the many moments and laughs we shared.

He always raved and spoke so lovingly of you all as well.

He will be missed and always remembered.

Dee, we are so sorry for your loss of McGoo! Bob still talks about those tennis matches with Pat! Something told me to check on y´all. You and your family will be gentle on our minds! May his Memory be Eternal!

Dee & Family,
So sorry to hear the news, I worked with Pat for 16 years at JJ Barnicke and have such great memories of that time. With his larger than life personality he'd fill a room and the jokes and McGeeism's would fly - he definitely provided a lot a colour to my early career years. I never got on a busy elevator with Pat without him immediately opening conversation with perfect strangers! I will always remember those days, my thoughts are with you and your family, Colin.

So sorry to hear this. Pat was such a character at Barnicke´s, and a star at cold calling. His patter on the phone was legendary and he helped me greatly when I first joined the business. I´ll always remember his invitation to have "half a cup of Java" . Deepest sympathy to Dee and the family.
