My heartfelt condolence to the members of the bereaved family. I know Father Patrik Skaria since July 2009 as the pastor of Sacred Heart Parish Kimberley. As a new comer to serve the diocese of Nelson he gave me good advise often. As far as I know he was more friendly with all and sundry. Really we miss him. But we thank God that he has successfully completed his mission as a priest and missionary.

With shock we heard the sad & sudden demise of Fr. Patrick Skaria. It was his passion to serve the LORD that made him to leave the shores of Kerala, India, to distant Philipines and then to Canada. A selfless Priest, he served the LORD faithfully till He called him on December the 30th,2011. May his soul rest in peace in the bosom of Abraham, Issaac and Jacob.
