To all of the Suddick clan:
Very sorry to hear the news. Pat and Mary were two of my parents best friends and our fathers worked together for many years at Honeywell. Pat was a larger than life character, with a great sense of humour and magnanimous personality. We loved him as kids. He was a remarkable man and will be greatly missed.

To Paul, Peter, Michael, Jane and Mark,
Our parents were the best of friends and shared so many good, good times together.
Mary and Pat, Mary Kay and Frank- what wonderful memories we all have of them together. It was so nice to see your Dad and Mike at Dad's funeral ( Frank Murphy) on Sepembter 1, 2011. Those men were all such wonderful friends from way back! Your dad had the best sense of humur and he was a gentleman.

I joined the EDP Division of Honeywell in 1964, in those very early days. The new EDP building, under Pat's direction, had recently been opened and it housed the Data Centre, demonstration facility and the initial staff. My wife, Deidre and I were also at Christmas parties in Pat and Mary's home and met their children who were sooo... young back then!
I worked directly with Pat in the early 70's and we had many great times, especially on two trips together to the UK, France and Switzerland, to visit Bull our future owners. In Belfort, he introduced me to oysters and another time to Drambuie on the rocks!
I will miss him and his humour and laughter, especially at the Retirement Club events.
It was a pleasure to have known and worked for him and to have known Mary and their children in those years long ago!

Pat was a true leader ... a man that positively touched the lives of so many people in their careers. It doesn't get any better than that.

I had the great pleasure to work with Pat at Honeywell, at Seneca and in settling his affairs. He is one of the finest men I have ever known. I treasure my memories of his presence, his wit and his ability to connect with others. May his family adjust well to this loss. May we all rejoice in the many yeers we had the pleasure of knowing Pat and of participating in a life well lived!

My sister Dorothy called to tell me about your Dad. My Mom always spoke very highly of him and your Mom when she babysat all you kids. It will be 13 years in March since Mom died. Time sure flies. My sympathies to all the family. Pat Moreland, nee Ferguson.

My first memory of Pat dates back to mid 1966, in Montreal where he had come to give the Branch an update on HIS's year-to-date progress. We sat on the floor, at his feet, while Pat enthusiastically took us through a few "flip" charts on an easel, really making all of us feel part of the "Honeywell Family".
Many of my recollections of Pat are painful; painful to my cheeks from laughing so hard and long at his incredible non-stop humour. What a joy it was to be in his company, even for the shortest of moments.
Pat was a pioneer in the computer industry and had the courage to lead a small team of "computer-rookies" on the very difficult mission of establishing Honeywell in the Canadian Computer Market. It was, as we all know now, a very challenging assignment and Pat was up for the task; with his sharp mind, and terrific personality he was the perfect leader to get Honeywell started down this new path.
His task was all the more difficult because Honeywell top management did not fully understand the differences between the Controls and Computer markets, nor the size of the task they had asked Pat to undertake. Nevertheless, he exceeded his objectives, and paved the way for many of us to enjoy thrilling and productive careers building upon the foundations he so courageously built.
We will miss but never forget you Pat!

We have nothing but fond memories of Pat whose warm and pleasant nature made him a special person. The talks and speeches he gave at meetings and conferences were always something to look forward to and often had everybody in fits of laughter. He will be sadly missed. Our deepest sympathies to his family.

Pat was one of the nicest and most caring people I've ever had the pleasure to know. I was associated with him for over 45 years and will truly miss his charismatic personality at our Honeywell I.S. reunions. I'll also miss the plethora of humorous emails he sent out right up until the day before he died.
My sincere condolences to Pat's family on the loss of such a wonderful person.

I remember Pat so well particularly his smile and sense of humour. Pat hired my husband Cam for his first job at the age of 21. We attended our first Honeywell Christmas party in Pat and Mary's recreation room. They were fun and very gracious hosts to a young couple. We count ourselves as fortunate to have known this wonderful man. Valerie Burns

Both Sheila and I would like to express our condolences to Pat's family and friends. My twin brother, Gary and I, joined Honeywell Information Systems (HIS) in June 1969. In our first week at the company, we were walking down the hallway and this person, whom we found out later was Pat Suddick, said "Hello Brian and Gary. How are you doing?". We couldn't believe that he, as an executive with HIS, would know our names. He was a great "people person" and he was one of the main reasons that we worked for HIS for 20 years. And as you can see, we never forgot his welcoming to us.
Sincerely.
