PAUL KOWALCHUK Obituary

KOWALCHUK, PAUL April 14, 1935 – November 10, 2021 We are deeply heartbroken to announce the passing of Paul Kowalchuk on November 10, 2021. After many years of battling multiple illnesses, he has passed peacefully in his sleep. Paul only recently was predeceased by his wife Mary Louise Kowalchuk and his son Steven Kowalchuk. He will be remembered with love by his sister Mary Szypka; his children Michael, Diana and Paula Kowalchuk; his grandchildren Danielle Kowalchuk, Stephanie Schmidt, Nicolas Fera, Joseph Kowalchuk Humenyk, and Paul Kowalchuk Humenyk; as well as his great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Walter Schmidt; and all of his many nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends. Paul was a loving and dedicated husband, and father, Master Mechanic and businessman. He was a Founding Member of St. Demetrius Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus as well as a volunteer for the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre for many years. He wore many hats throughout his life and he will be remembered for his wonderful laugh, warm heart and caring nature as well as his achievement of 3 Holes in One in his lifetime at his favorite golf course. He is resting peacefully at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd., Toronto, Ontario. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. There will be prayers for the deceased at 7 p.m. for those who would like to be involved. The funeral service will be held at Saint Demetrius the Great Martyr Byzantine Ukrainian Catholic Church, 135 La Rose Ave., Toronto, Ontario on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. A reception will directly follow at Ward Funeral Home Weston Rd. afterwards. To safely manage and adhere to current social distancing requirements, please RSVP for the visitation and service. Cremation will take place and interment of cremated remains will follow at a later date at Prospect Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario. Information will be shared with loved ones as it becomes available.

So sorry to hear about Paul

I had a chance to play a lot of golf with him and John Forbes
We made a few trips to the USA and had a lot of fun
