PAUL LeBLANC Obituary

LeBLANC, PAUL We lost our greatly beloved Paul on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Words are not enough to express the depth of sadness we feel at his passing. His beauty, smile, humour, kindness and generosity enriched the lives of all who knew him. He was the love of Heidi's life and the best father Evan could ever have hoped for. Paul was greatly loved by his parents, Donna and Lawrence LeBlanc, his sister Marina (Nick), his brothers David (Charlotte) and Kevin, his sisters-in-law Heather, Cathy, Barbara, Sharon and Cindy, brothers-in-law Ivars and John and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Tammy in 1962, his brother Michel in 1998, his brother Larry in 2009, his brother Donald in 2020 and his brother-in-law Mogens in 2020. Paul cherished his friendships with colleagues from CRA and the Beach community. From the early days of all night poker games and Revenue Canada baseball tournaments to the golf weekends and European trips with the Balmy Beach Old Boys he enjoyed after his retirement, Paul was an enthusiastic participant in whatever fun was to be had. He loved meeting people and made friends wherever he went. Paul loved life and lived it to the fullest, delighting in fatherhood and family life above all. Always the charming host for family gatherings, the husband who brought Heidi flowers for no reason, the dad who would stay up with Evan talking into the wee hours, the uncle with the corny jokes, Paul took a genuine interest in each and every member of our big, beautiful extended family. With Heidi, Evan and friends he travelled the world, always with a sense of fun, wonder, discovery and appreciation for the experiences and treasures each new place had to offer. Living in Switzerland for three years was a highlight of Paul's retirement. Together with Heidi he became part of school life at Neuchâtel Junior College, where the students adored him. Paul took great joy in life and left it and all of us too soon. In the words of a friend: "What a wonderful world this would be if everyone was like Paul. Caring, kind and thoughtful with an endless love for his family and friends." With broken hearts and wonderful memories we say adieu to our beautiful, adored and loving Paul. A Zoom memorial service for Paul will be held on Saturday, March 27th at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. A link to the service will be sent out early that week. Memories of Paul may be left on the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home site. Donations in Paul's memory may be made to Kingston Road United Church or Toronto General Hospital.

Paul was brought into our lives for a reason, he touched me with his compassion, kind words, and gentle smile. His work on earth has come to an end, and he is niw continuing his work amongst his heavenly family. Paul has not forgotten his earthly family, he has taken a piece of your hearts with him, take comfort in knowing that he has a special place in your hearts, and you will always think of him fondly, and remember the love and happiness that you shared with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, that they will draw strength from each other, and from thoughts of this amazing man who graced our lives with his love, compassion, and positive energy!

He is and always will be a huge part of my Bbc old boys experience and in my life. Like those who have gone before. They live in our hearts and memories.

His smile lit the room like photographic lights do.

The one. The only. Paparazzi.
