Paul MICHAEL

MICHAEL, Paul Passed peacefully on Saturday, January 5th, 2019 at the age of 70. Paul was a graduate of Wilfred Laurier University and the University of Toronto. He married Katherine McBride in 1969 in Barrie. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; their children, Ian (Sarah) of Toronto, David (Tracy) of Penticton, British Columbia and Andrew (Ashley) of Puerto Jiménez, Costa Rica; his five grandchildren, Caitlyn, Nathan, Hadley, Fergus and Payton; his brother Bruce and his sister Karen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Violet. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the following doctors who cared for Paul with expertise, compassion and kindness: Fred Smith, Clive Davis, Raymond Gottschalk, Alexander Lee, Harold Yuen and Lana Kiehn. Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, January 11th, 2019 from 7 - 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Collier St. United Church, 112 Collier St., Barrie on Saturday, January 12th at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and share in celebrating Paul's life. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation (Cardiac Centre) or a charity of choice are greatly appreciated by the family.
