PAUL PALLESCHI Obituary

PAUL ANTHONY PALLESCHI It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Paul Palleschi. Paul died suddenly on January 31, 2016 at the age of 65 while vacationing in Cape Coral, Florida. He was born in Etobicoke, Ontario on April 28, 1950. Paul was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Marie (nee Hilton) Palleschi. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee McNally) for 42 years, loving dad of Michelle (Duff) Cooper and Michael (Erin) Palleschi. Devoted Poppa of Vonley, James and Ireland Cooper and Emma, Cara and Weston Palleschi. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Patricia (Jean Pierre) Mainguy, Peter (Alison) Palleschi and Brenda (Doug) Ferguson and in-laws Maurice McNally, Joycelyn (David) Gould, Martin McNally (Kim), Carolyn (Jens) Hansen and Michael (Angela) McNally as well as many nieces and nephews. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his large extended Irish, Italian and Canadian families and many friends. In his public life, Paul was a champion for the Residents of Wards 2 and 6. In his personal life, he was a fixture at family sporting events, often coaching from the stands. He enjoyed going to Brampton Beast Hockey games and riding his Harley Trike in support of Bike nights and Toys for Tot rides. Paul also loved to fish and proudly encouraged his grandchildren to participate. He loved to read John Grisham books and watch the comedy channel. His support of the Brampton Civic Hospital was unwavering. Paul was honoured to have served the residents of the City of Brampton as a Regional Councillor for nearly 30 years. He firmly believed the positive participation of Brampton residents in their city's future helped shape its success. Paul worked closely with his colleagues to create a strong foundation for a thriving and sustainable City and Region. Post retirement, he continued to be an advocate for Peel Living (Peel Housing Corporation) and was very proud of the public housing staff and administration. Friends are invited to share their memories of Paul with the family during visitation at the Brampton Funeral Home and Cemetery, 10061 Chinguacousy Road, Brampton, Ontario on Tuesday, February 9th, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, February 10th at 1 p.m. The family will hold a private interment immediately following.
